Royal Life Saving is a nationwide charitable organisation which has been serving Australia for over 100 years as the leading water safety, swimming and lifesaving education organisation in Australia.

The Sony Foundation Australia supports the Royal Life Saving′s Active Family Fun Day events nationwide. The Fun Days are based on the Swim and Survive Program, which teaches and accredits children in not only swimming, but aquatic survival skills, and has been responsible for the incredible reduction of drowning deaths in children aged 5 — 14 years.

Participants at an Active Family Fun Day take part in a free of charge and fun program of water safety related activities, designed so that all the members of a family can get involved. The Active Family Fun Day events are great fun and significantly help to reduce the number of youth deaths by drowning, by teaching participants skills in swimming and CPR.
