Dennis Lillee Disabled Sports Foundation

The Dennis Lillee Disabled Sports Foundation believes that “youth with disabilities should have an equal opportunity to participate in sport, recreation and physical activity to their able-bodied peers, at a level that is appropriate for their ability and in a manner of their choosing”. Dennis Lillee′s Foundation enables people with disabilities in Western Australia to fulfil this and participate in physical activity, inclusive of elite sport, standard competitive sport and community recreation and school activities.

Sony Foundation Australia′s support has enabled the development of real participation opportunities for children with high support needs through planned activity days in regional WA. The communities visited by the Foundation are often quite isolated and this project delivers opportunities directly to young people within their hometown in the form of school visits, education and workshops.
