Around 800 friends, family and Wollongong locals joined Sony Foundation ambassador and X Factor judge Natalie Bassingthwaighte to participate in the 5km fundraising walk which began in Lang Park, Wollongong.
The walk began at 9am, and the party continued at the finish line with local musicians, dancers, food and festivities keeping the walkers entertained.
On Sunday, November 2, the story of You Can ambassadors Jason Carrasco and Cass Nascimento was aired on Channel Seven's Sunday Night program.
Jason and Cass met while both undergoing treatment for cancer, and their story will inspire you with their remarkable friendship and courage against the odds.
Jason and Cass were hugely passionate supporters of You Can, supporting Sony Foundation in the bid to build specialised youth cancer centres and services. Jason and Cass knew better than anyone the need for young people to support each other through treatment.
